Join Our Photo Club

Our club is made up of people interested in photography as a hobby.  All levels of expertise are welcome.  Club activities typically include:

  • Photo challenges periodically are done such as night shots, macros, black & white and scapes.
  • Outings to various photogenic surroundings.
  • Discussion of various topics to share knowledge.
  • Photographing Senior Centre events for the archives.

 This is done in a none competitive environment.  The only criteria is that you have a camera and a membership in Whitby Seniors Services . Meetings are held bi-weekly.

  • Flash Workshop On March 15th we held a Flash workshop.  We had a chance try new techniques and see each others equipment.

  • Capturing Speeding Boats Bob Hughes gave a very informative lecture on how to capture speeding objects on a photograph as well insight to the world of boat racing.

  • Photography through time Ed Warner gave us an excellent walk through time showing how photographs were taken from the first to present day.  We got to see some of his antique photography equipment

Whitby Senior Centre
